Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service

The Griffith AMS is a Bulk Billing Practice and no fee is charged to our clients for their consultation.

Please bring your current Medicare Card and Health Care Card. If you don’t have a Medicare Card, we can help you get one. However, in the case of Workers Compensation Claims – accounts will be sent out to the relevant insurer or employer.

Our service has various clinics held once a month, which include:

• Sexual Health
• Women’s Health
• Optometrist
• Podiatrist
• Immunisation Clinics
• Psychologist

The service also employs a Social & Emotional Wellbeing Worker to assist individuals with a range of issues affecting their general wellbeing and a dedicated team of drug & alcohol workers to assist in addressing substance misuse.

We also have a Bringing Them Home Worker to assist members of the Stolen Generation and their families.

The service now has a part time dietitian to assist community members with making the right choices and adopting a more healthy lifestyle.

Interpreting services are available. Please inform reception of your requirements at the time you make your appointment.

The Griffith AMS provides a home visiting service at the discretion of Clinical Staff. However, if transport is an issue, please inform reception at the time you make your appointment and transport will be provided.

All services provided by Griffith AMS are free of charge and strictly confidential.
